If you have a lot of different products to edit it may be faster to upload a spreadsheet with those edits. This article will show you how format your data and upload it to the Bulk Editor.
In order to follow along you should have:
- The Bulk Product Editor installed on your Shopify store
- A properly formatted Spreadsheet with the products and data you want to edit
You can also use the app to generate a template Spreadsheet for you which you can edit and re-upload.
Uploading Your Spreadsheet
Open up the Bulk Product Editor app and click on the File Upload button on the top right. You'll see a screen where you can upload your file:
Click on 'Choose File' and select the Excel or CSV spreadsheet to upload. The app will process the file and see which products each row matches with.
Once the file has been processed you'll see the data from your spreadsheet on the screen:
You can use the dropdown on the left to choose how to locate the products to edit. Currently you can locate products by title, handle, barcode, or SKU.
The dropdown above the middle column determines which field to edit. You have several different options:

Finally, the column on the right shows how many products would be matched with each edit.
Running the Edit
Once everything looks good click on the Preview button to preview the edit. A window will appear showing you how the edit will work on a sample product:
If everything looks good click on the Run Edit button and the edit will process in the background. As with individual edits, you can monitor the edit by reloading the status page:
That's all there is to it! In a few steps you can quickly edit hundreds or even thousands of products on your store.
